St. Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University is the oldest pediatric university of the planet, was founded on May 25, 1905. From the first day of foundation to the present day, the main goal of the university is the treatment and rescue of children.

Today SPbSPMU is more than 60 departments, more than 12 thousand modern surgeries and almost 100 thousand satisfied, and most importantly, healthy babies from all over Russia per year. Nowadays we teach more than 4,000 students. The University structure includes one of the largest pediatric clinics in Russia where the students have the possibility of training under the guidance of medicine leading experts from their first year of studies.

Pediatric university is an international center of the higher medical training. Thousands of foreign students from 70 countries and 4 continents have graduated from this medical school. The University provides a high educational level that guarantees the demand for its graduates at the labour-market.
