Prince of Songkla University (PSU) is an autonomous public university established in 1967 as the first university in southern Thailand, with the guiding principle “Our Soul is for the Benefit of Mankind.” PSU is a leading research university committed to academic excellence, reputable research and innovation, with five campuses located in Hat Yai, Pattani, Phuket, Surat Thani, and Trang. It is one of the nine national research universities, ranked 7th in Thailand and 148th in Asia by 2020 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).

PSU is a multicultural institution with more than 34,000 students, inclusive of international students from 45 nations, over 2,000 academic staff, and has more than 600 agreements for academic cooperation with institutions worldwide. It offers some of the best teaching facilities in Southeast Asia, with 145 Bachelor’s, 107 Master’s and 81 Doctorate degrees.
