Omsk State Technical University (OmSTU) is a scientific-technological university which trains engineers, economists and classical scholars. The University has always focused on the quality and innovation of its teaching and research.

OmSTU is actively strengthening its cooperation with businesses and industries. Key activities include interaction between departments and major-related companies, work placements, and training of potential employees for specific companies.

The university has an innovative structure which includes research and educational resource centers, small innovative enterprises, research laboratories, design engineering departments and student research laboratories where students put their theoretical knowledge into practice.

Today OmSTU has more than 16000 students, and more than 2000 foreign students are among them which is the highest number among Omsk universities.
